corporate wellness programAptora Corporate Wellness Program was developed by Aptora’s own VP of Business Operations, Susan Leichter. Susan’s health and wellness career started in 1995 when she graduated from Pittsburg State University with her BS in Education. Upon graduation, she obtained Kansas Teaching Certifications in both Physical Education and Special Education. Susan taught grades K-12 Physical Education and Health in the Kansas public schools from 1996 through 2003.

Susan supports Aptora’s values by doing volunteer work in her community. She has been a volunteer for the American Red Cross since 1996. As a volunteer for the Bourbon County American Red Cross Chapter she taught First Aid, CPR, AED and Babysitter Training classes for 10+ years. She served two terms as the Board Chair for this chapter as well. She now volunteers for the American Red Cross of Greater Kansas City as a First Aid Station (FAS) team member and is currently certified to teach CPR, First Aid and AED Training in the community.

Susan Leichter, Corporate Wellness Program AuthorIn 2005 she completed the nursing program at Fort Scott Community College and received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. After successfully completing the NCLEX exam she became a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas. She worked as a Medical Surgical Nurse with specialized training in the post-surgical care of weight loss surgery patients from 2006 through 2009. She then worked as a triage nurse in a local endocrinology and diabetes office from 2009 through 2010.

Susan came to Aptora at the end of 2010 and has since then became a valued resource for Aptora. Her background in Physical Education and Nursing has served the company well. She has been Aptora’s Human Resource Manager since shortly after starting with Aptora.

In early 2014 after much research and consultation with multiple specialists in the wellness field, she designed and implemented her own Corporate Wellness Program at Aptora. This program was such a success that she decided to offer it to the public and has modified it to be used in any company.

What makes this program unique is the fact that companies do not need to pay a large sum of money to have another organization implement the program. This program, known simply as the Corporate Wellness Program, is a do-it-yourself system that can be implemented and used by both large and small companies.

Along with designing and implementing the Corporate Wellness Program, Susan is now traveling to companies across the country as Aptora’s Wellness Consultant. She can be hired through Aptora to implement our Corporate Wellness Program in your company and help you get started with your own wellness program.
